Georgios Kontostolis is a graduate of the Department of Chemistry of the University of Crete and holds an MBA from the American College of Athens.
In 1996 he took an active role in the Sales Department of Nycomed Hellas (Takeda Hellas) and in 1999 he served as Sales and Marketing Manager at the Nuclear Medicine Division of Amersham Healthcare S.A. ensuring the successful introduction of innovative products and medical services in the field of Nuclear Medicine.
In 2004, he took over the role of Commercial Director in the radiopharmaceutical and contrast media products division of GE Healthcare, for Greece and Cyprus, until 2008, when he became Chief Executive Officer of the specific Business Unit.
In 2010, at the helm of the Pharmazac Pharmaceutical Company, he launched the pharmaceutical department of the group with generic medicines, patches, nutritional supplements and medical-technology products. In 2015, he was involved in the creation of a research and development laboratory for innovative and generic medicines and nutritional supplements. In 2016, the company was rewarded for its successful growth and in 2017 for its innovation.
In 2017 he assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer of Affidea in Greece, which he serves until today. In 2017, Affidea Greece was rewarded for its excellent service.
He is actively involved in the scientific activities of the Nuclear Medicine Department of the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center and has already been actively involved in the publication of 3 Scientific Studies, as well as in a number of management and sales training seminars and in leading European conferences.
